On Tuesday my little man will be one year old....tear. The thought of it makes me want to cry by eyes out, but seeing as that is neither practical nor normal, I have been keeping myself busy planning this birthday bash.
Eli LOVES "Yo Gabba Gabba." Really. I have no earthy idea why, but I don't really care either because it gives me quiet time in the car and 20 minutes of uninterrupted cleaning.
When I first started planning the party, I was going to have a western theme. We even bought a wagon. While I was looking through the catalog to make my order, Eli turned the page. As fate would have it, Yo Gabba Gabba stared back at him. I kid you not, he start waving his arms around and clapping. So ended the western theme.
Here are a few ideas for my new theme:
This is a picture I stole from another blog and have used for inspiration during my planning. I hope the cartoon theme will be as classy as the example above.
I thought the local party store would carry the Yo Gabba Gabba supplies, but I was wrong. So, on Wednesday I had to have the paper products and balloons rush shipped. I spent more on the mailing than I did on the products...oh what we do for our kids!
I picked this shirt up for Eli on Wednesday, and was able to get the matching bib as well.
While our guests will be eating multi-colored cupcakes (see inspiration) Eli will enjoy his very own Brobee cake!
I can't get the banner Eric designed or the invitation to load correctly, but I'll take some pictures with my camera and post them later....gosh I love Party Planning.
