First up in my blog-a-thon is an event I attended last Thursday. Thanmks to my job I am blessed with the opportunity to help serve the community in many ways. Last week was such an occasion when I helped answer phones for a St. Jude fundraiser.

It really was an eye opening experience since Eli had been so sick and we were awaiting blood test results. About 15 minutes before my volunteer shift, I got that call that Eli was healthy minus a few minor problems. The relief I experienced was overwhelming, but it made me more sensitive to helping St. Jude as I realized that many parents experience such calls with less than good news.
I don't know where you are in life, but please consider becoming a Partner In Hope with St. Jude. You can give money, give your time, or offer your prayers. Nothing is too small...
I can never imagine what some of these children and families go through on a daily basis. What a wonderful opportunity it was for you to volunteer!
