FINALLY!!!
This has been the weirdest year for me with the holidays. For starters, we didn't do our traditional Black Friday shopping. On the one hand, I'm glad we missed the crowds, but on the other hand, I look forward to my time with Eric every year. The biggest thing it changed was the fact that it forced us to shop throughout the holiday season instead of all on one night. It wasn't bad, just different.
Next, the short proximity between Thanksgiving and Christmas meant that we had to miss one our favorite family traditions, Cave Sing. It's not a big deal, but on the heels of that, a winter storm cancelled another annual event...the Christmas Parade (s). Then we were sick and had to cancel family pictures (twice) which meant that we skipped cards completely this year which is another first.
It's been crazy. That's why I was so sad when I realized there are only eight more days before Christmas, and we've barely had any fun. Oh well, we are going to be busy making the most of it.
