This is the last of my weekend recap…I promise!
Since we knew that Monday would be our last day, we wasted no time eating breakfast and hitting the pool. Eli wasn't quite ready to come out, but our little fish…I mean mermaid…was ready for some sunshine.
She really is the best little pool buddy because she likes to layout and get in the water, and she's content to go with the flow. I see a lot of poolside afternoons in our future, and I am totally ok with that.
Eli spent his morning riding the four-wheeler with Eric and playing X-box. He finally braved the cold water when Sam and the cousins came down for a swim. And yes, he is in a baby float. They invented a game to see who could get in, and apparently thought that it was the funniest thing ever!
When the older kids left, Ellie cried to stay in longer, so I had to let her. Ha!
She finally gave it up when we went to eat lunch, and promptly fell asleep in her Nan's arms.
We hit the road shortly after lunch, and Eli was none too thrilled about it. I think the only silver lining was the fact that he only had two days left of school!
