Now that we're all caught up on the traveling and holiday festivities, here's a little update on our week. As I mentioned, Eli stayed with Eric's parents because he still can't swim. He has been so excited for this special time with them.
I may have to "detox" him when he returns, because he is getting so much attention. Haha! They had lunch at Patty's, went putt-putting, saw Finding Dory, and went to the heritage museum. Plus there were a few other activities packed in there. I loved getting updates from my mother-in-law!
Back on the home front, we were busy as well. The torrential rains and flooding meant no swimming, but we dodged the showers to work on our back porch, which was in desperate need of some TLC. It took three nights and a long trip to the plant nursery that ended with Ellie peeing in her pants and the poor couple loaning us a pair of underwear, but we are done and it looks great!
Between Ellie being gone for Eli's surgery, me and the kids traveling to Lexington, our July Fourth trip to Marion, and now Eli being gone, I am so ready to have everyone back home and under one roof. I'm glad my boy is having fun, but I am counting down the time until I can see him again.
